you're addicted to the high. just one more and you'll be good. promise. really. but no, it's not just one more. it's five more. simultaneously too until it's the end of the day and you wonder where the time went. actually you know, but you like to wonder. because wondering means you're not completely responsible. time goes on forever when you're in the zone. it always has. hasn't it? otherwise why would you be here? it's a temporary high, lasting five minutes, 2 hours tops. you know this. you know it's the equivalent to happiness. after all, happiness is just a temporary high. a state of mind. there's only one thing that's actually everlasting. and that is joy. but how to reach it? or is it something to be reached at all? is it something you can work at? if you just got enough sleep. but then again, that nursery rhyme says it all...early to bed, early to rise, that's the way to be healthy, wealthy, and wise. but who actually follows that these days? oh they're out there. and they're not addicted to the high. so why can't you just be one of them?
